The NTR biopic is one of the most anticipated biopic in the Telugu film industry.  Fans are looking forward for the movie as it features N Balakrishna in the titular role. Being the son of NTR and an ace himself with a huge fan following, it is natural that the expectations are very high.

Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the current Chief Minister of Andhra, N Chandra Babu Naidu, who happens to be NT Rama Rao’s son-in-law as well. 
On the occasion of Rana's birthday on December 14, makers of the film have unveiled his look from the biopic. The actor appears in a white shirt which is Chandra Babu Naidu's political outfit with a badge of 'NTR' on his shirt pocket.

The first single from the movie was released last week, stealing the hearts of millions of NT Rama Rao’ fans out there. The song, Katha Nayaka, has been composed by MM Keeravani and rendered by Kailash Kher. The biopic is bankrolled by N Balakrishna along with Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Induri. Director Teja was initially roped in to direct it but he opted out for various reasons and now the project is being helmed by J Krish. 

N Balakrishna will be seen playing his dad NTR in the film, and it will have Sumanth playing Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Vidya Balan as NTR’s wife Basvatharakam. The latest to join this bandwagon of actors are Hansika and Shalini Pandey. Reports are that Haniska will be playing actor – politician Jayaprada in the film while Shalini Pandey will be seen as veteran actor Sowcar Janaki.   

The biopic, which is Balayya’s dream project, is scheduled for release next January and will be released in two parts - NTR – Kathanayakudu on January 9 and NTR – Mahanayakudu in February. MM Keeravani is composing music for this venture with Gnana Shekar V.S cranking the camera and Arram Ramakrishna editing it.
