Putting all the speculation to rest, Rana Daggubati took to Twitter on Friday to announce that he is onboard the NTR biopic.

Rumors had surfaced a few weeks ago that he has been roped in for the project but there was no official word on it from the makers. Now, Rana has confirmed the same in his tweet which said, “Coming together to tell you a story of an incredible human phenomenon called “NT RamaRao”.”

While it remains to be seen what role he will be seen in in the film, reports suggest that he has been roped in to play NTR’s son-in-law and the current Chief Minister of Andhra, N Chandra Babu Naidu.

The shooting of the NTR’s biopic commenced early last month and is progressing at a good pace. The filmmakers intend to release it for Sankaranthi next year and are working hard to meet this deadline.

One of the biggest reasons to have this biopic released for Sankaranthi is that the election code of conduct will come into force later that month, preventing the film from releasing until the elections.

Directed by Krish J, the film is being produced by N Balakrishna (who plays the title role in the film), Vishnu Induri and Sai Korrapati.

Vidya Balan has been roped in to play NTR’s wife Basavatarakam in it.

The star cast also includes Keerthy Suresh, Mohan Babu, and Sumanth playing Savitri, SV Ranga Rao and A Nageswara Rao.

Reports sugest that Jisshu will be seen playing the late prolific filmmaker and Dadasaheb Phalke winner LV Prasad while Sachin will be donning the greasepaint as the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nadhendla Bhaskar Rao.

With Rana’s inclusion, fans are waiting eagerly for the biopic’s release.
