The upcoming Mahesh Babu film with director Anil Ravipudi is turning out to be a star-studded project. A few days ago, there were reports that veteran actor Vijayashanthi will be making her comeback to Tollywood with this film. And now, there are reports that another veteran will be joining the star cast as well.

Reports are that Ramya Krishnan will be playing an important role in this flick. The director has narrated the story to the actors concerned and both Ramya Krishnan and Vijayashanthi are impressed with their respective roles, we hear. It may be noted here that both Ramya Krishnan and Vijayashanti are actors par excellence with several prestigious awards in their kitty. The film will also have Rajendra Prasad and Rao Ramesh in important roles besides ace producer Bandla Ganesh. An official announcement about the actors on board is expected to be made once things are finalised. The film is set for early 2020 release and the shooting will begin soon.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi is gearing up for release on May 9. Directed by Vamsi Paidapally, Maharshi is a high budget project with a major portion of it being shot in the United States. The film is about three friends played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh and Pooja Hegde. Maharshi is being produced jointly by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V. Potluri under the banners Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies and PVP Cinema. The technical crew of this film includes Devi Sri Prasad as its music composer, K. U. Mohanan as the cinematographer and Praveen KL as the editor.

On the other hand, Ramya Krishnan has got an opportunity to share the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan after more than two decades.  The actors worked together in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 1998 and have been roped in to play an important role in SJ Suryah’s Uyarndha Manithan.  The film will be directed by Thamizhvannan of Kalvanin Kadhali fame. To be made in Tamil and Hindi, it will mark Big B's debut in the Tamil film industry.
