Superstar Rajinikanth was briefly admitted to a hospital in Chennai after he was reportedly injured in a minor accident during the shoot of ‘2.0’. He did not receive any major injuries and is now reported to be fit to shoot and is back home.

The veteran actor is reported to have been shooting at a campus at Kelambakkam in Chennai for the movie when the minor incident happened. He reportedly fell down at the shooting spot and was immediately taken to Chettinad hospital nearby.

He did not receive any major injuries and is reported to have gone back home. Speaking to The News Minute, sources in the Rajinikanth camp said that he is fit to shoot and had in fact resumed shooting after the fall.

To reiterate that he was fine, a video of him waving to his fans at the shooting spot was also released by his team on Twitter.

Rajinikanth had resumed shoot for the film 2.0 after the success of his movie Kabali.

‘2.0’ is the sequel to Shankar's ‘Enthiran’, and stars Rajinikanth as Chitti and Akshay Kumar as the villain. The film will feature music composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman and VFX by Walt Jones. Oscar winning sound designer and editor Resul Pookutty is also part of the crew.

The first look was unveiled by Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, Shankar, AR Rahman and producer Subas Karan in November. Amy Jackson plays the female lead in the movie.
