Mahesh Babu in association with Asian Cinemas will soon be inaugurating their multiplex in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. There were huge expectations that AMB Cinemas would be inaugurated on Diwali with Aamir Khan’s Thugs of Hindostan to be the first film to be screened there. Mahesh Babu had plans to invite Aamir Khan to inaugurate the multiplex as well. But things did not work out favourably as the star was busy with his movie promos.

All eyes are now on when the multiplex would be inaugurated and what would be the first movie to be screened. According to reports, Rajinikanth’s magnum opus 2.O may be AMB Cinemas first film! Sources say that Mahesh Babu is set on having a film with big star value to be its first and feels that 2.0 would be the right option. Rajinikanth starrer 2.O is scheduled for release on November 29 and fans can get to watch it at the AMB Cinemas if things work out well.

2.0 is easily one of the most anticipated films as it happens to be the sequel to the 2010 release Endhiran. Directed by Shankar, the film stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson as the lead pair with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar playing the baddie. Those in the supporting roles include Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Kalabhavan Shajohn, and Riyaz Khan.

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under his banner Lyca Productions, 2.0 is made on a massive budget of Rs 450 crore. The film’s technical crew comprises AR Rahman for songs with the background score done by him A. R. Rahman and Qutub-E-Kripa, Nirav Shah for camera and Anthony for editing.

With 2.0’s teaser, trailer and songs released so far are creating a lot of expectations; fans just can’t wait for the release date to arrive soon. Well, the countdown has begun!
