Vikram Vedha, directed by Pushkar and Gayathri has turned out to be a hit. While the movie buffs are raving about it, even film personalities are heaping praises on the entire team. Recently, a special screening for the Superstar Rajinikanth was held in Chennai and he was thoroughly enamoured with the film.

While everyone was eager to know about what the Superstar’s opinion on the film was, Pushkar and Gayatri tweeted: “#Vikram Vedha Mass film made with so much class. That’s what Superstar told us... Whata man! Thanks @superstarrajini.” The other film personalities to heap praises on the film were Arya, Surya, and filmmaker Karthik Subburaj. The Vikram Vedha team is elated that the film has impressed several film personalities including Rajinikanth.

Produced by S Sashikanth under the banner Y NOT Studios, it has R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi sharing the screen space for this crime thriller. The star cast also includes Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Kathir, Prem, Rajkumar, Hareesh Peradi, Achyuth Kumar and Amarendran. Sam CS has composed the tunes for this film with PS Vinod wielding the camera and Richard Kevin editing it.

The film has R Madhavan playing a police officer and encounter specialist Vikram while Vijay Sethupathi has essayed the role of North Madras gangster Vedha. With positive reviews pouring in, the film is also a success at the box office garnering Rs 17 crores the world over on its first weekend. Interestingly, the film has garnered about Rs 10 crores in Tamil Nadu and in Chennai alone it went on to gross Rs 7 crore. Further, Vikram Vedha has been declared a blockbuster in the US as well with its distributor ATMUS Entertainment tweeting: “#VikramVedha Blockbuster in USA! $182K gross so far, Distributor and ALL exhibitors enter profit zone by Saturday! After a long time in Tamil”.
