SS Karthikeya, son of the ace director SS Rajamouli, caught the attention with his unique promo and trailer cuts for the films such as Manam and Baahubali. The youngster is running his own publicity house Showing Business, through which he handles the promotional activities of films and makes catchy trailer cuts. He has also been assisting his father in direction for quite a few years now. This gave rise to a speculation that Karthikeya may soon make his debut as a director. However, the youngster has surprised everyone with an announcement that he would be floating his own production house. Yes, he will be bankrolling a film under his banner and the groundwork for it is already on.

Titled as Aakasavani, the film will be helmed by Ashwin Gangaraju, an associate of director SS Rajamouli. Reports are that it will be a period flick and the director is currently working on assembling his cast and crew. More details about this venture should be out soon.

While the son’s new venture has caught the attention of the trade circles, his father SS Rajamouli is busy with his upcoming multi starrer RRR. It has become the most anticipated movie in the Tollywood filmdom and the project will start rolling soon and the groundwork began several months ago. It may be noted here that the test shoot of RRR happened in the US some months ago under the supervision of Karthikeya making it clear that he is closely associated with the project. The industry's grapevine is that huge sets are being erected for the film in Ramoji Film City and in Kokapet.

RRR will star Ram Charan Teja and Jr NTR in the lead roles and this is the first time they are sharing the screen space. RRR’s release date is fixed for Sankranthi 2020.
