Raghavendra Rajkumar has returned to Sandalwood after a long gap of 15 years and is busy with back-to-back movies in his second innings. The actor will be next seen in an upcoming political thriller titled Ward Number 11. The makers launched the first look of the film on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Director Srikanth in his recent interview to TOI was quoted as saying: “Raghavendra Rajkumar is just perfect for the role, so we approached him. To our luck, he was equally thrilled after hearing the script and we are glad to have him onboard. It is an interesting character, which will have a significant impact on the story. Major portions of the movie will be shot in Bengaluru.”

The movie also stars Meghasri, Rakshith and Suman Nagarkar in pivotal roles. Major portions of the movie will be shot in Bengaluru and the film is slated to hit the silver screens later this year. Bankrolled by Sandeep Shivamogga and Gururaj A, the film has music by Surendra Nath.

Meanwhile, Raghavendra Rajkumar’s 25th film is in the offing. Titled Aadisdaatha, it will be directed by Phaneesh Bharadhwaj. Interestingly, it will be a thriller and reports say it is the first thriller in the star’s career.

Raghavendra Rajkumar also has Dhruva Sarja’s Pogaru directed by Nanda Kishore. Raghavendra will be seen in a pivotal role in the film. The film also stars Dhananjay and veteran Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu as the baddies in this flick. The film was slated for release on Independence Day but the release had to be postponed due to production delays.

Raghavendra Rajkumar’s last film release was Ammana Mane, which hit the silver screens earlier this year. The film was directed by Nikhil Manju and bankrolled by Athmashree and R S Kumar. Sameer Kulkarni composed music while the lyrics were by Manojava Galagali. PVR Swamy was the cinematographer for this flick and N Aditya Kunigal the editor.
