Last seen in the fourth installment of the Muni franchise, Kanchana 3, Raghava Lawrence is currently busy with his Bollywood directorial debut.

Titled Laxmmi Bomb, the film is the Hindi remake of his 2011 blockbuster hit Kanchana the second film in the horror franchise that began in 2007 with Muni. The film will star Akshay Kumar reprising the role done by Raghava Lawrence in the original.

If industry sources are anything to go by, reports have emerged that Lawrance is teaming up with director Lingusamy for an untitled project which is said to be the remake of Ram Charan's 2018 blockbuster hit Rangasthalam. However, an official confirmation could be made anytime soon by the makers of the film.

Sources told DT Next, “Lawrence was supposed to do a project with Lingusamy post-Kanchana 3. However, since he got busy with his Bollywood commitments, he couldn’t give dates for the filmmaker. Now, Lawrence himself had approached Lingusamy and finalised the project."

Rangasthalam was a period action drama that had Ram Charan playing the role of a partially deaf person while Samantha played the female lead. Directed by Sukumar, the film released last year and opened to packed houses across the world, becoming a blockbuster hit. The film also got a massive response at all the box office and it also became the highest opener among the Telugu films in Chennai.

The star cast of this film also included Prakash Raj, Adhi Pinisetty and Jagapathi Babu. Devi Sri Prasad had composed music for this venture. The magnum opus was bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri under the banner Mythrie Movie Makers.

Meanwhile, Lawrance's next would be a 3D film bankrolled by Sun Pictures which is said to be a superhero flick which will have Raghava Lawrence playing the lead role. More details are expected soon.
