Shiva Rajkumar recently inked a deal to star in veteran director P Vasu’s upcoming film. The project will be bankrolled by Sandalwood’s popular production house, Dwarakish Chitra. It may be mentioned here that P Vasu had directed the hit movie Apthamitra for the Dwarakish Chitra banner several years ago and had associated with Shiva Rajkumar in 2016 for Shivalinga.
Dwarkish’s last film Amma I Love You, which he had produced under his banner Dwarakish Chitra, hit the marquee on June 15 this year and is doing well at the box office. The film, which was the remake of the Tamil blockbuster Pichaikkaran starring Vijay Anthony, had Chiranjeevi Sarja playing the lead role.
Reports indicate that the shooting for this Shiva Rajkumar starrer will begin in January next year. Pairing up with Shivanna in this yet to be titled flick will be Rachita Ram. A self-professed fan of the superstar, Rachita Ram got an opportunity to work with him in the upcoming release Rustum but she is not paired with him in the film. While Shivanna is paired with Shraddha Srinath in the film, Rachita Ram plays the lead opposite Vivek Oberoi.
Shiva Rajkumar, in the meantime, has signed two new projects – one with director Yogaraj Bhat and the other with Chandrashekar Bandiyappa. The title of the Yogaraj Bhat directorial was unveiled recently to be Kuladalli Keelyavudo, taken from the hit number ‘Kuladalli keelyavudo, huchappa! Mathadalli melyavudo’ from Satya Harishchandra.
The star is currently busy with Rustum, directed by Ravi Varma, which went on the floors recently. While Shraddha Srinath plays his love interest, Mayuri enacts the role of his sister. Produced under the banner Jayanna Combines, Rustum is progressing well. Shiva Rajkumar is also expecting the release of The Villain, which is currently in the post-production mode. It is a multi-starrer that has Sudeep sharing screen space with Shiva Rajkumar along with Amy Jackson.
