The Puneeth Rajkumar-starrer Raajakumara has managed to score a century at the box office, and it’s 100-day run was celebrated with a grand gala in Bengaluru recently. The celebrations not only featured trophies being handed out to the team members, but also exciting performances.
The highlight of the event was an impromptu dance performance by Puneeth and Kiccha Sudeep, which had the audiences breaking into applause and hoots and whistles.
Written and directed by Santosh Ananddram, the film had Puneeth Rajkumar playing the lead alongside Priya Anand, who made her Sandalwood debut. Raajakumara, released on March 24, was bankrolled by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner Hombale Films.
According to trade reports, Raajakumara is the first film in Sandalwood to complete 6,000 shows within six weeks of its release in multiplexes. V Harikrishna had composed music for this flick with Venkatesh Anguraj cranking the camera and KM Prakash editing it. Sarath Kumar had played Puneeth’s dad in the movie, while Prakash Raj was seen as the baddie.
The 100th day event was attended by Shivarajkumar, Kichcha Sudeep, Yash, Radhika Pandit, Jaggesh, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Vinay Rajkumar, Rangayana Raghu, Sadhu Kokila, Shradda Srinath, Rachita Ram, and others. The event was flagged off with Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar lighting the traditional lamp.
Puneeth Rajkumar is currently busy with Anjani Putra directed by A Harsha. It has Rashmika Mandanna and Haripriya playing the female leads. The film is produced by MN Kumar and B Jayashree Devi under the banners MNK Movies and Jayashreedevi Productions.
