Puneeth Rajkumar will be making a cameo appearance in the upcoming Kannada film Paddehuli. The film already has Rakshit Shetty in a guest role and now Puneeth has been brought onboard. The star will be making an appearance in the climax sequence and it will be the USP of the film, we hear.

The film is scheduled for release on April 19 and the Paddehuli team did not want to reveal about Puneeth Rajkumar’s presence until a few days before the release to maintain the suspense factor. There are speculations that the Kannada Power Star may be appearing as himself in the movie, though this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Paddehuli is touted to be a family drama in which the lead actor plays a musician and a hard core Vishnuvardhan fan. Directed by Guru Deshpande, the film stars Shreyas Manju, son of ace producer K Manju. Nishvika Naidu plays the female lead in this film, with Chikkanna and Vinayak Joshi in pivotal roles.

Veteran actor Ravichandran and Sudharani will be playing Shreyas’ parents in the film and interestingly they will be sharing screen space after a gap of 25 years. The last time they paired up was for Mane Devaru.

Paddehuli has several big names associated with it in order to score big at the box office. While the trailer of the film was unveiled by Darshan, the audio launch turned out to be a massive event with Kiccha Sudeep, Ganesh and Sri Murali attending.

With the hero playing a musician, it is important that the film has several songs to its album. Yes, there are 10 songs, which have been composed by Ajaneesh Loknath. He has set the background score as well.

Puneeth is basking in glory over the grand success of his recent release, Nata Sarvabhouma. The film was helmed by Pavan Wadeyar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions. The film witnessed a total collection of Rs 7.8 crore on day 1 and Rs 5.1 crore on day 2. Going by the latest figures, the film has collected around Rs 28 crore in Karnataka alone.
