Puneeth Rajkumar rolled out his own production house PRK Productions last year and produced Kavaludaari, which was directed by Hemanth M Rao. The film starred veteran actor Anant Nag in a pivotal role, with Rishi playing the lead role. The star cast also included Suman Ranganathan, Achyuth Kumar, Roshni Prakash, Siddharth Maadhyamika and Siri Ravikumar in pivotal roles.

The actor-turned-producer is now producing his next film, which is titled Maya Bazaar. Raj B Shetty has been roped in to play the lead role in this film and it also has Prakash Raj and Vashista Simha in important roles. Raj B Shetty made his debut with Ondu Motteya Kathe last year and the film went on to become a big hit. Now his star status is sure to go up with his next being bankrolled by Puneeth.

An interesting update about Maya Bazaar is that Puneeth will be seen making a cameo appearance. Apparently, he will be featured in a song sequence that is choreographed by Harsha A. The star has allotted a couple of days from his schedule to be complete the shooting.

Reports suggest that the shooting of Maya Bazaar has been wrapped up and only this song needs to be canned, which will be done soon.

Meanwhile, Puneeth is busy with Yuva Ratna. The film is directed by Santosh Ananddram, who had collaborated earlier with Puneeth to deliver the smash hit film Rajakumaraa, and is bankrolled under the banner Hombale Films. Sayyesha is playing the female lead in Yuva Ratna, and this is her first film in the Kannada film industry. V Harikrishna is composing the music for the film. The star cast also includes Prakash Raj in an important role while Dhananjay will be seen as the main villain with Radhika Sarathkumar also roped in for a pivotal role.

Yuva Ratna is likely to hit the marquee later this year but the release date is yet to be finalised.
