Sandalwood stars Puneeth Rajkumar and Yash have shared a good rapport for a long time now. Even recently, after the launch of Yash’s KGF trailer, Puneeth took to Twitter to congratulate Yash when the trailer crossed 20 million views online.

According to reports, both the actors are keen on sharing screen space with each other and have instructed director Santosh Ananddram to come up with a suitable script for them. If the script turns out to be exceptional, both stars would be hopping onboard the project, we hear.

Santosh Ananddram and Puneeth Rajkumar had teamed up for Raajakumara earlier, which turned out to be a huge hit commercially. They are currently working on Yuva Ratna, which will be out in theatres in mid-2019.

Puneeth Rajkumar is currently busy with the Pawan Wadeyar directorial Nata Sarvabhouma. The film’s technical crew include D Imman for music, Tollywood dance master Jani for choreography and Vaidhi as the cameraman. The film is being bankrolled by Rockline Venkatesh under his banner Rockline Productions. It will have two heroines – Rachita Ram and Anupama Parameswaran – playing the women leads. It may be mentioned here that the latter will be making her debut in Sandalwood with this movie.

Yash is currently busy with the post-production of his upcoming release KGF, which is gearing up for release on December 21. It will be released in five languages – Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam – simultaneously giving it a massive opening. Directed by Prashanth Neel, who has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under his banner Hombale Films. The technical team comprises music director Ravi Basrur, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and art director Shivakumar. While Yash and Srinidhi Shetty play the lead pair, the rest of the star cast includes Achyuth Kumar, Nassar, Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag and Vasishta N Simha.
