It was earlier reported that Priya Prakash Varrier will be making her debut in Bollywood with Sridevi Bungalow. And now the actor has inked a deal to work in another Hindi film. Titled Love Hackers, it is a crime thriller directed by Mayank Prakash Srivastava and will be shot across various locations in Gurgaon, Delhi, Lucknow, and Mumbai. It will go on the floors in May end.
On Love Hackers, Priya was quoted by Pune Mirror as saying that it is about cyber world’s dark sides. In a statement, she said, “I play the protagonist, who, with her knowledge, instinct, and presence of mind, emerges a winner after being trapped in an unfortunate situation. The story is based on real incidents.”
Director Mayank said, “Online security breaches have made society complex today. The number of social media users in India is staggering, but most of them are not aware of the different forms of cyber-crimes. We are exploring that with the film.”
Priya Prakash Warrier had shot to fame before her first film Oru Adaar Love had released, when a song from the movie became popular and her shots as the ‘winking girl’ went viral. The film that released in February had not done well, and went through a few controversies when the climax was changed.
There were also reports of trouble between the film’s director Omar Lulu and Priya. The film, produced by Ousepachan Vaalakuzhy, was a campus entertainer that revolved around a set of students. The film had a bevy of newbies in pivotal roles and that included Roshan Abdul Rahoof, Noorin Shereef, Siyadh Shajahan, Priya Warrier and Michelle Ann Daniel.
