The Malayalam movie Lucifer is easily one of the most anticipated films in Mollywood. Scheduled to release in April next year, it will mark the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie stars Mohanlal and Manju Warrier in the lead roles supported by a bevy of other stars.

While the shooting for Lucifer is progressing at a brisk pace, pics from the shooting spots are being released officially for the fans to enjoy. Recently, on the official Facebook page of the film, a candid photo featuring Mohanlal and Manju Warrier was released with Prithiviraj credited for the pic.

In Lucifer, Mohanlal plays a politician and his character is named Stephen Nedumballi. The team is currently stationed in Mumbai after completing schedules in various locations in Kerala.

Besides Mohanlal and Manju Warrier, Lucifer’s star cast includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi, and Tovino in pivotal roles. Those in supporting roles include Kalabhavan Shajon, Sai Kumar, director Fazil, Sunil Sughatha, Thara Kalyan, Praveena Thomas and Mala Parvathy.

The technical crew of the film includes Sujith Vasudevan for cinematography and Samjith for editing while Stephen Devassy will be in charge of the music composition. Veteran writer and actor Murali Gopy has penned the script for Lucifer, which is touted to be a political thriller.

Mohanlal’s fans are awaiting the release of Odiyan next month. Incidentally, Manju Warrier is paired with Mohanlal in this flick as well. Odiyan will mark the directorial debut of ad filmmaker VA Shreekumar Menon in the Malayalam film industry. It has Prakash Raj playing a pivotal role and interestingly he is sharing screen space with Mohanlal after nearly two decades. The last time they worked together was for the Mani Ratnam directorial Iruvar. The technical crew of Odiyan includes M Jayachandran to compose the soundtrack while Sam CS is in charge of the BGM. Shaji Kumar is the cinematographer for this venture and John Kutty is the editor. Odiyan is a high budget movie being bankrolled by Antony Perumbavoor under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas.
