Prithviraj has been having back-to-back releases in recent months with My StoryKoode, and Ranam. Now, a movie out of his production house, 9, is ready for release. It would be out on November 16, the actor tweeted.

“This winter..a father will fight the world and beyond for his son! #9 Releasing on 16th November 2018!” Prithvi wrote.

Directed by Jenuse Mohammed, the film is produced by Prithviraj’s home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with SPE Films India. Interestingly, it marks Sony Pictures Entertainment’s entry into the Malayalam film industry.

Shaan Rahman has composed the music for 9, while the background score is done by Sekhar Menon. Abinandhan Ramanujam is cranking the camera for this venture and Shameer venture and Shameer Mohammed is the editor.

The makers of 9 had kept releasing the character posters of each actor at regular intervals.

The character posters of the female leads – Wamiqa Gabbi and Mamta Mohandas – reveal that the former plays the character Eva and the latter Annie. Actor Prakash Raj will be seen as Dr. Inayat Khan.

Touted to be a science fiction, 9’s shooting began in April this year and has been progressing steadily since then. The team has recently completed a schedule in the Himalayas, according to reports.

What’s interesting is that  all these films are coming out even as Prithvi is busy with his maiden directorial project – Lucifer – with Mohanlal in the lead. The shooting of Lucifer began in July this year.

Reports indicate that Mohanlal’s character in the film is named Stephen Nadumballi and he will be playing a politician. Along with Mohanlal, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Vivek Oberoi and Tovino Thomas will seen playing pivotal roles.

Prithviraj also floated his own production house Prithviraj Productions after moving out of August Cinemas through which he co-produced a few films with his friends.
