Mohanlal and Indrajith have shared screen space in quite a number of films including, Chotta Mumbai, Baba Kalyani, Flash and Twenty 20, and it looks like this combo is set to get together for yet another film.

Reports say that actor Prithviraj, who is gearing up for his directorial debut with the Mohanlal starrer Lucifer, has roped in his elder brother and actor Indrajith for an important role in the film. Going by the reports doing the rounds, it appears that Indrajith may be playing the baddie in Lucifer but this has not yet been confirmed by sources in the know.

While the brothers – Prithviraj and Indrajith – have shared screen space in a few films earlier, this will be their first venture together as director and actor.

Further, expectations are high on this film not just because it marks the association of Mohanlal and Prithviraj for the first time, but because the latter gets to direct the former. Anthony Perumbavoor is bankrolling the film under his banner Aashirvad Cinemas. Earlier, the buzz was that Lucifer was to be directed by the late Rajesh Pillai along with Murali Gopy, but the project never took off.

With Mohanlal and Prithviraj being termed the most talented and versatile stars in the Malayalam film industry, movie buffs can’t wait to know more about it.

The shooting for Lucifer is expected to begin in May, and Mohanlal and Prithviraj are expected to complete their respective assignments by then.

While Mohanlal is busy with the VA Shrikumar Menon directorial Odiyan and Ajoy Varma directorial Neerali, Prithiviraj is concentrating on completing a slew of films by then. His Ranam, earlier titled Detroit Crossing, is in the post-production mode while his My Story and the untitled Anjali Menon directorial is in different stages of production. Further, he has Aadujeevitham that will go on the floors soon and he plans to complete a major portion of the shooting before shifting his complete focus on Lucifer.
