Dr Rajashekar’s last film, PSV Garuda Vega was a massive hit and he certainly got the much-needed break with the film. Though the film released several months ago, there was no news about his next.
After a long wait, it was recently announced that the star’s next will be directed by Prashanth Varma of Awe fame. The director is currently busy finalising the female lead for the film. According to the buzz, both Shriya and Kajal Agarwal are in the fray to pair up with the star but it is most likely that the former may bag the role.
The film, which has not been titled yet, will be bankrolled by Dr Rajashekar’s home banner and the prep work has already begun. The shooting will begin next month and before that director Prashanth Varma is expected to disclose his complete star cast and crew.
Incidentally, director Prashanth Varma’s last release Awe, a psychological thriller, had Kajal Agarwal playing the main protagonist. However, this time around, she may not be a part of his directorial, say sources.
The director dealt with a completely different subject in Awe which revolved around dissociative identity disorders, and issues such as child abuse, sexual abuse, and drug abuse. Awe was the first Telugu film to deal with homosexual relationships and sex reassignment surgery as well.
With the director making an impact with a completely new subject in Tollywood, his upcoming film with Dr Rajashekar is also likely to deal with something different and unique.
