Tamil actor Prasanna, well known for his roles in the Tamil films 5 Star, Anjathey and Achamundu Achamundu, is all set to make his debut in the Malayalam film industry.  The actor has been expanding his horizons and has bagged a role in the Prithviraj starrer Big Brother and it is a pivotal role, we hear.

One of the most anticipated films of the year, Brother’s Day will mark the directorial debut of actor Kalabhavan Shajohn. The team has recently returned from Greece after wrapping up a schedule there. Listin Stephen is bankrolling the film under his banner Magic Frames on a budget of Rs 15 crore.

There are four female leads in the film -- Miya, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prayaga Rose Martin and Aima Sebastian.

Recently, the first look poster of the film, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, was released online. In the poster, the star is seen sporting a beard and leaning on a Royal Enfield bike with a grin on his face. Reports are that Brother’s Day will be a complete commercial entertainer.

It may be noted here that Prasanna recently became part of a web series called Thiravam. It is based on the life of Ramar Pillai and the story of his invention – herbal petrol – that is being aired on ZEE 5. He plays the role of Ravi Prakasam in this series. The web series is directed by Aravind Krishna, a popular cinematographer. Thiravam premiered on Zee 5 on May 21.

During a special premiere of the web series on Tuesday in Chennai, Prasanna opened up about his upcoming projects in a media interaction. He confirmed signing Karthick’s new film and said that he’s excited to be sharing screen space with Arun Vijay. He also said that he is part of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s upcoming Tamil crime thriller Kannai Nambathey. Prasanna is also getting ready for Mysskin’s Thupparivaalan 2.
