There is no doubt that Tollywood star Prabhas’ fanbase saw a huge increase following the massive success of Baahubali. He was associated with the film for nearly five years and had starred in the title role in both Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion. It may be noted that the star has a vast following in Japan as well.

Recently, a set of Japanese fans of the actor had collected letters from all over Japan and sent them to him through a person close to him in Hyderabad. Bowled by their love, Prabhas sent personalised autographed souvenir portraits in return in time for the new year. The cards had Prabhas’ latest photo shoot images with the message: “I hope you have a Happy New Year!” written in Japanese.

According to DNA, a source said, “Prabhas’s recent movies have done well in Japan. Also, it has been noticed that tourists from Japan keep visiting his house in Hyderabad. Prabhas and his team will arrange a meet and greet for his Japanese fans before the trailer launch of Saaho.”

Post the success of the Baahubali series, Prabhas commenced his next project Saaho, which is due for release this year. Directed by Sujeeth, it has Shraddha Kapoor playing the lead opposite Prabhas. The shooting for this film is in progress and reports say that it has reached the final stages and is most likely to be wrapped up early this year. The film also has Arun Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Evelyn Sharma and Jackie Shroff in supporting roles. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy are composing music for this flick with R Madhie cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing it. Reports say that extensive VFX will be used in the film and a major portion of the budget has been earmarked for it. The film is being made in Telugu and will be dubbed in Hindi and Tamil as well. The making of Saaho video was released on an online platform a few weeks ago and went viral among netizens.
