Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore turned out to be a massive success following which the director is looking forward to wielding the megaphone for a film based on Ramayana. Reports have it that Hrtihik Roshan has been approached to play Lord Ram in this ambitious project while Deepika Padukone may play Sita.
Revealing about the film, Nitesh had told in an interview to a film portal much earlier, “After Chhichhore, I’m going to do Ramayana which got announced sometime back. We are conceptualising right now. It’s a trilogy that we are planning and we are trying to see the best possible way to make it."
It will be made on a massive scale with a budget of Rs 600 crore.
Another interesting piece of info doing rounds is that Prabhas is in talks to play Ravana in the film. The star was associated with the historical Baahubali for five years and then with another high budget film Saaho for two years.
Saaho had hit the marquee last month and is doing well at the theatres. The film, directed by Sujeeth, is bankrolled by V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner UV Creations on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film’s star cast also includes Neil Nitin Mukesh, Lal, Arun Vijay, Mandira Bedi, Jackie Shroff, Vennela Kishore, Mahesh Manjrekar and Chunkey Pandey in supporting roles. While Prabhas plays the male lead in this action entertainer, sharing the screen space with him as his heroine is Shraddha Kapoor. The technical crew of this film includes R Madhi for cranking the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing. Saaho was in Telugu and dubbed in Hindi and Tamil as well considering the huge popularity of Prabhas across the country.
