If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, actor Ajith may do a film for producer Boney Kapoor next. While there’s no official confirmation with respect to the news yet, rumours about the collaboration have been doing the rounds since March 13.
Apparently, Boney Kapoor and his late wife Sridevi have been planning to collaborate with Ajith for a long time. It’s worth mentioning that Ajith played a cameo in the dubbed Tamil version of English Vinglish.
Meanwhile, Ajith is gearing up for the shoot of Viswasam, expected to roll from March 23 in Hyderabad. The shoot will begin in a specially erected set in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City.
The team will then move to Chennai for a second schedule where they have already erected a huge set. The project, to be bankrolled by Satyajothi Films, will be directed by Siva, who is known for helming Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. Nayanthara, last seen in Sivakarthikeyan’s Velaikkaran, has been finalised as the leading lady.
In a first time collaboration, D Imman has been finalised to compose music. He recently revealed that he’s thrilled to be part of the project. According to sources from the film's camp, Imman has completed composing music for a couple of songs in this film, which includes the intro song of Ajith in the film.
The project marks the fourth consecutive time collaboration of Ajith and Siva. Ajith, who popularised the salt-and-pepper look in his last three outings, will dye his hair black and sport a new look for the film.
The rest of the cast and crew is yet unknown. However, it is rumoured that Shraddha Srinath might have bagged an important role. Viswasam will be made on a much lesser budget than Vivegam, which was a whopping Rs 120 crore action spectacle.
The project is gearing up for Diwali 2018 release and it is believed to clash with Vijay-Murugadoss film and Suriya’s next film with director Selvaraghavan at the box-office. If the three projects make it for Diwali, it’ll be the biggest clash the industry would have ever witnessed.
