After making her presence felt in Sivakarthikeyan’s Rajini Murugan, young actress Keerthy Suresh bagged the opportunity to work with Dhanush in upcoming film Thodari and now in Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay’s yet-untitled 60th film. The latest update is that Keerthy has been finalized as the leading lady opposite Suriya in his next film with director Muthiah, and it will be the first time she will be pairing up with the Singam star.
Keerthy was the first choice for Murugadoss’s next bilingual film with Mahesh Babu. However, since the producer wanted an actress with countrywide popularity, they opted for Parineeti Chopra, who was later replaced by Rakul Preet Singh. Apparently, after Parineeti exited the project, Keerthy was approached with the offer but by then, she was already signed on for Vijay 60.
Suriya, who was supposed to team up with Kabali director Ranjith, will work on the project next year. His project with Muthiah is said to have a rural backdrop and will see him in a never before seen avatar.
