The News Minute | January 30, 2015 | 12.08 pm IST Abhinetri is finally all set to hit theatres in the state today, months after it was completed and after being bogged down in one controversy after another. The film’s producer and actor Pooja Gandhi who also plays the protagonist, is also going to ensure that the film is dubbed in eight languages: Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Malayalam and Punjabi. Abhinetri is “inspired” by the life of Kalpana an actress who is widely regarded as one of the best talents produced by Kannada cinema died under mysterious circumstances in 1979 in Belagavi.  Gandhi was taken to the courts by writer Bhagya Krishnamurthy who alleged that the film had borrowed from her work. Now after all these hassles the film has finally been released.
