Torrential rains battered Hyderabad and brought the city to a standstill, with the city witnessing over 120 mm of rainfall in some areas. As of 5.30 am on Wednesday, Tirumalagiri received 121.8 mm, Shanti Nagar and some other parts of Uppal received 120.8 mm, parts of Marredpally saw 114.5 mm, parts of Musheerabad witnessed over 114 mm, Begumpet saw 104.5 mm, Monda Market witnessed 103 mm, Habsiguda received 102.8 mm and Bowenpally saw 100 mm rainfall.
A hospital in Lallaguda was inundated, the road between Lothkunta and Yapral caved in, trees fell and several low lying areas in the city were affected.
