Film stars who ruled the 80s are back together celebrating the 10th anniversary of their annual 80s reunion bash. The 80s reunion is a recent tradition that has been sustained for a decade by the South Indian cinema stars of the 80s. Celebrations are themed every year, black and gold this time, and are not complete without group photos.
The reunion was hosted at Telugu actor Chiranjeevi’s house in Hyderabad on Sunday. Interestingly, Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna were not able to make it to last year’s celebrations.
Dressed in a shiny golden saree, Khushboo Sundar who has acted in all four south Indian languages, shared selfies with many of her co-stars from the 80s.
Actors Khushboo and Lissy are seen striking a pose along with Chiranjeevi, Suhasini, Poornima Bhagyaraj and Jaya Prada in one of the frames.
Among those present for celebrations this year were actors Lissy, Sumalatha, Venkatesh Daggubati, Suresh, Rahman, Jackie Shroff and Jayaram.
Actors Sarath Kumar, Radikaa Sarathkumar, Nagarjuna, Jagapathu Babu, Prabhu, Jaishree, Amala Akkineni, Saritha, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Suhasini Maniratnam, Ambika, Radha, Revathi, Nadiya, Shobana and Mohanlal too were present.

On November 23, Radikaa had shared a photo from the airport in which actors Prabhu, Jaishree, Rahman, Sarath Kumar, and Ambika are seen together.

Actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, and Ramya Krishnan, however, could not make it. Last year around the same time, the celebrations were held at a resort in Chennai. While the theme in 2018 was denim and white, for celebrations in 2017 that were held in China, the theme was purple.
Every year, since 2009, the stars of the 1980s meet annually for a get-together and spend time reliving their past experiences. The idea for a get-together, specifically for the 80s stars, was mooted by Suhasini Mani Ratnam and Lissy in 2009, and it has become an annual event since then.
