After winning over audiences and critics alike worldwide, Telugu indie hit, Pellichoopulu, has wowed K.T Rama Rao (KTR), Telangana minister for IT, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, who has heaped praise, calling it an exceptional film which breaks new ground.

The makers organized a special screening of the film for KTR on Tuesday. After watching, he took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the film. “Watched an exceptionally well made movie 'Pellichoopulu', which breaks new ground on many counts. Kudos to Tharun & entire team. Must watch”. He also said that the film breaks new ground without being preachy, and throws the spotlight on unconventional professions, women empowerment and entrepreneurial spirit.

Directed by Tharun Bhascker Dhaassyam, Pellichoopulu has emerged as the most profitable Telugu film in a long time, in terms of return-on-investment. Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ritu Varma in the lead, the film’s Hindi remake rights are likely to snapped up by Salman Khan, who plans to launch his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma through the Hindi version.
