Thiruvananthapuram BJP district president S Suresh has been booked for making a provocative speech on Tuesday.

The case was registered by Neyyattinkara police after Suresh claimed that there is peace in the state only because of RSS’s generosity.

He was charged under Section 295 (A) of IPC.

Suresh was speaking at a protest march in front of the Neyyattinkara DSP office against an attack on RSS workers at a village Anavoor in Thiruvananthapuram.

“If there is peace in Anavoor, that is the generosity of the BJP and RSS. The moment RSS ends this generosity, then we will be in the process of searching for the hands and heads of those who attack RSS workers. The DySP and other police officers here will not be able to control if RSS starts acting,” he said in the speech.

Suresh’s hate speech comes at a time when the CPM and the BJP have been blaming each other over the recent political violence in Kerala.

After an RSS worker Choorakkattu Biju, was murdered last week at Payyannur in  Kannur district, the BJP leadership alleged CPI (M) involvement in it.

Biju was an accused in the murder case of CPI (M) leader Dhanaraj in July last year in Kannur.

NP Raneesh (28) and KV Jyothish (26), who were arrested on Monday in the murder of Biju, were remanded in judicial custody by the judicial first class magistrate court in Payyannur.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday said in the assembly that the death was unfortunate and it cannot be justified by any means.

Even CPI (M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Tuesday said in a press meet that the party will not protect any murderers.
