When it comes to raising his voice over a social cause, the Tollywood actor and politician Pawan Kalyan has never shied away from it. He has been vociferous about many important issues, especially that concern the Telugu-speaking community.

To keep in line with this, Pawan Kalyan has agreed to host a television show which will be similar to Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s Satyameva Jayate. The show’s main focus is on sensitive social issues such as sexual abuse, female foeticide, child rape, honour killings, untouchability, domestic violence, alcoholism, and the criminalisation of politics. The aim of the show is empowerment of citizens so that they can fight against atrocities.

With Pawan Kalyan agreeing to do the show, his debut in the small screen has become certain. Sources say that Pawan, who has always been away from the small screen despite his contemporaries doing well in the area, agreed to do this show as it is something to do with his ideologies and principles. The concept of the show was another major factor that pulled him towards it, we hear.

Sources in the know say that since he has ventured into active politics, the star feels that the show would help him connect with his people in a larger way.

The star’s last release was Trivikram Srinivas directorial Agnyaathavaasi and he is yet to ink a new deal. According to reports, Pawan Kalyan will be concentrating on social issues henceforth and has not ascertained anything about his film career.
