The News Minute | February 27, 2015 | 9.09 AM ISTA CPI(M) forty-five-year-old member was hacked to death in Kannur district of Kerala. Preman was a worker in a toddy shop. Wednesday night he was attacked by a group of men in the town area. The group hacked him multiple times and later threw a less-intense bomb where he lay to scare him further. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, Matrubhumi reported. The CPI(M) has alleged that it is the members of the RSS who were behind the attack. The party called for a district-wide hartal following his death on Thursday. In the early hours of Tuesday a CPI(M) block level office was bombed and a member was hacked by a group of people. The same day a BJP member was hacked. It is believed that Preman was attacked on Wednesday in continuation of the rivalry.
