The Norway Tamil Film Festival is an annual film fest held in Oslo that celebrates both artistic and technical excellence in Tamil cinema. The festival entered its 10th year this year. The complete list of winners for this year is out, with Pariyerum Perumal, director Pa Ranjith’s first production venture, bagging the Best Film Award. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film was bankrolled by Pa Ranjith under his banner Neelam Productions and features Kathir and Anandhi in lead roles. The film was well appreciated not just by movie buffs but those in the film industry as well. Top actors and film personalities heaped praises on the film, with many taking to social media to urge others to watch the film in the theatre.

Vijay Sethupathi won the Best Actor Male for 96 while Trisha clinched the Best Actor Female for the same film. Lenin Bharathi was awarded Best Director for Merkku Thodarchi Malai while composer Santhosh Narayanan bagged the Best Music Director award for Pariyerum Perumal and Vada Chennai.
