It has been revealed that Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar’s next film in the pipeline is titled Anand. To be directed by ace director P Vasu, the film will be bankrolled by Sandalwood’s popular production house, Dwarakish Chitra Productions. According to reports, the muhurat of the film is scheduled to happen on November 9, after which the team will shoot for a couple of days. The full-fledged shooting will commence from December 10 onwards. The director has planned out this project very meticulously and has the complete groundwork done. We hear that Anand’s release date has been set for August 9 next year and the team will stick to the deadline.

Rachita Ram has been roped in to play the lead opposite Shiva Rajkumar in the film. The actor had the opportunity to work with Shiva Rajkumar in the upcoming release Rustum, but she is not paired with him in the film. However, in Anand, she will be his lead pair.

It may be mentioned here that director P Vasu is associating with both the hero and the production house for the second time. He had directed the hit movie Apthamitra for the Dwarakish Chitra banner several years ago and had associated with Shiva Rajkumar in 2016 for Shivalinga.

Shiva Rajkumar, in the meantime, has signed two new projects – one with director Yogaraj Bhat and the other with Chandrashekar Bandiyappa. The title of the Yogaraj Bhat directorial was unveiled recently to be Kuladalli Keelyavudo, taken from the hit number ‘Kuladalli keelyavudo, huchappa! Mathadalli melyavudo’ from the film, Satya Harishchandra.

The star is currently busy with the Ravi Varma directorial Rustum, which went on the floors recently. The film has Shraddha Srinath playing his love interest and Mayuri enacting the role of his sister. Produced under the banner Jayanna Combines, Rustum is said to be progressing well.
