The Times of India reported:

Fearing that MIM activists and associates of Mohammed Pahelwan, the prime accused in the attack case, might clash with each other, the Hyderabad police put in place unprecedented security with over 100 police personnel posted on the court complex. Police personnel were seen on the approach road to the Nampally court, inside the court complex and near the court hall. All the 13 accused, inclu ding Pahelwan and his sons involved in the case, were in the witness box when Akbaruddin Owaisi entered the court amid high security.

The report adds that Akbaruddin narrated the incidents of that day and the attack and also informed the judge that the bullet was still lodged in his body.

Deccan Chronicle reported that Akbaruddin also urged the court to release his licensed pistol which was seized by investigating officers.

The report adds:

Asked how he could identify Mohammed Pahelwan, he said that he was earlier told that Pahelwan was a rowdy sheeter and landgrabber in Chandrayanagutta. He identified Hasan Yafai, who drove towards him on a white scooter, hiding a dagger under his clothes and attacked him first.

Asking him to file a separate petition for his gun, the judge adjourned the hearing for Wednesday.
