Not for nothing do fans of former Bigg Boss contestant Oviya call themselves her army. The Bigg Boss house may have moved on, but for the Oviya Army nothing’s changed since their hero left the house.
For the sceptics out there, all it took was one tweet from Oviya, her first since leaving the Bigg Boss house, to prove just how many Oviya fanatics are out there.
On Monday, Oviya tweeted her love to her fans.
At a loss for words, to describe the love & care from each one of you.. I feel blessed, thankful & to be more responsible for all ur love
— Oviyaa (@OviyaaSweetz) August 28, 2017
In less than a day, her tweet received over 8,200 replies, 13,300 retweets and nearly 47,000 likes. The affection the actor won on the show with her forthright and assertive attitude has clearly not dissipated after she abruptly stepped out of the limelight with complaints about her mental health.

At least on Twitter, Oviya suddenly finds herself in the hallowed territory of a "mass" star – usually reserved for male actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay and Ajith.

Indeed, for members of the Oviya Army, Oviya’s situation on Bigg Boss was nothing short of a grand battle between Good and Evil. “A life of Dharma will see evil engulfing it but Dharma will recover and win,” reads one tweet.

And so, at least as far as they’re concerned, there’s nothing left of worth in Bigg Boss now that their hero is out.
Hey oviya how are you without you #BigBossTamil is so boring hope we will see you again on big screen we will show our love and affection

And how better to sum that all up in 2017 than by comparing Oviya to Amarendra Baahubali?

The 'Golden Tweet' of 2016 went to Virat Kohli. Twitter officially announced that the cricketer's tweet in which he stood up for his girlfriend Anushka Sharma was the most retweeted tweet of the year, with nearly 40,000 RTs. If Oviya's simple message to fans could generate so many retweets, the golden girl of Bigg Boss might well land the Golden Tweet of 2017!
