Ahead of the release of his upcoming film Oru Kuprasidha Payyan, TovinoThomas has said in an interview to the Deccan Chronicle that it will be an engaging fare. He has been quoted by the daily as saying, “The movie will definitely be an emotionally engaging one. When Madhupal sir narrated the story initially, I felt that the subject is very crucial and requires serious making. Playing Ajayan was hectic, but the support of a strong team made it easier (sic).”

Talking about the film’s director Madhupal, Tovino said, “He briefs the actors even the minute details and ensures that we bring out our best. All the unit members shared a great camaraderie and the vibes helped us well.”

The teaser of Oru Kuprasidha Payyan was released as an Eid special and went viral as expected. According to reports, the film is touted to be a murder mystery with a lot of thriller elements thrown in. With Tovino playing the lead role, the film has Anu Sithara and Nimisha Sajayan as the women leads. The others in the star cast include Pasupathi, Saranya Ponvannan, Siddique, Lijomol Jose, Nedumudi Venu, Sukanya, producer Suresh Kumar, Dileesh Pothan, Sujith Sankar, Alencier Ley, Sudeer Karamana, Saiju Kurup and Balu Varghese.

The technical crew of Oru Kuprasidha Payyan includes Ouseppachan composing the music score with Noushad Shereef cranking the camera and V Sajan taking charge at the editing table. The film is produced under the banner V Cinemas.

While Oru Kuprasidha Payyan is scheduled for release on November 9, Tovino has a slew of films lined up for release later, including Luca, And The Oscar Goes To, Ente Ummante Peru, Lucifer, Kalki and Virus.

Talking about Lucifer, which is actor Prithviraj’s directorial debut, Tovino told DC, “I’m sure that every artist associated with Lucifer would have had different kind of experience as it is being directed by a superstar. However, after the shooting began, we see only the director in Prithvi. He has set a mark for every character and was successful in delivering what he needs from each artiste. I play an extended cameo in the movie. Whatever scenes I had, I really enjoyed it all.”
