Chinese smartphone maker OPPO has introduced another mid-segment smartphone, the OPPO K3, in the Indian market with a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display. With a screen to body ratio of 91.1%, the screen resolution offered is 1080x2340pixels. The front screen has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and has a Gorilla Glass 6 protection. OPPO has done away with the notch and sports a popup camera for taking selfies. Thereās an under-display fingerprint sensor as well.
The main processor fitted on the OPPO K3 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC and the Adreno 616 GPU offers graphics support. The RAM support comes in two variants, an 8GB LPDDR4X RAM at the higher end and 6GB RAM at the lower end. The corresponding onboard storage levels will be 128GB and 64GB respectively. A microSD card slot to lift the storage is also part of the provisions within this new device from OPPO.
The Android Pie version 9 OS with the ColorOS 6.0 skin will be the operating system on this new OPPO device.
The rear camera setup has a 16MP primary sensor and a secondary 2MP sensor. The front camera is tucked inside the body of the phone and pops up with a 16MP camera for taking selfies. OPPO has added a number of special features to the camera sections apart from the dual LED flash. These include Ultra Clear Night View 2.0, multi-frame noise reduction, handheld night scene mode, AI intelligent scene recognition and AI portrait mode
A moderate 3765mAh battery powers the device and it comes with VOOC 3.0 (20W) fast charging support. The 3.5mm jack is included in the design. Dual-SIM 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio port are the connectivity features of the OPPO K3.
Coming to the pricing, the two variants, the 6GB/64GB OPPO K3 will be sold in India at Rs 16,990 and the 8GB/128GB variant at Rs 19,990. The sale is on from July 23 on Amazon India.
