Chinese phone makers don’t bat an eyelid before launching a sub-brand or series to the main one that has already gained some traction, even in the international markets. The latest to add another series is Oppo, and the new series will be called Reno.

The first device under the new Reno series will be launched by Oppo on April 10. The launch is scheduled for the China market, and between now and April, it will be known if the phone will be introduced in India as well or not.

Unfortunately, there is very little information available as of date about this phone, its model name, specifications and features etc. The one thing revealed by Oppo is the Reno’s logo which appears quite colourful leading the observers to make a guess that the device might be aimed at the youth.

But some sources have revealed that the phone could be a high-end phone since the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset is being predicted as the processor to be fitted on this Reno device. The other hardware being confirmed is the battery which will be 4065mAh. Though not specified, the expectation is the battery will come with a fast charging support.

Again, there are no details on the optics section as how many cameras in the rear and the front, but Oppo had showcased a 10x optical zoom technology at the MWC 2019 in February and in all likelihood, that will be seen on this new Reno series device to be released on April 10.

Now, a lot of the above could be conjecture, since a lot of loose ends still remain. The report is based on an announcement that Oppo is launching a new smartphone in April and then this new Reno series with its logo has surfaced. That’s how two and two have been put together to make this report.
