Boney Kapoor’s movie ‘Tevar’ with female lead Sonakshi Sinha has a song in which she is apparently wearing a costume which costs Rs. 75 lakh, according to a report in the Indian Express.

The report says the total cost of production of the song is a whopping Rs. 2.5 crores. The song which has been composed by Sajid-Wajid is expected to be like the item-numbers witnessed in Indian cinema.

The Indian Express report also quoted him saying, “I can’t tell you much about the song except that it would be one of the biggest item songs ever. Remo D’Souza is choreographing it. And I’ve promised Sonakshi she’d be making a minimum of Rs. 25 crores dancing to the item song in ‘Tevar’ at live concerts.”

This is not the first time where an Indian actress has been made to wear costumes that would be ridiculously priced.

According to santabanta.com, Kareena Kapoor Khan was made to wear a dress brought specially from Paris and was priced at Rs. 8 million. In Devdas Madhuri Dixit was made to wear dresses that would cost roughly upto Rs. 15 Lakhs each. In Jodhaa Akbar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was made to wear dresses each costing Rs. 2 Lakh and were studded with diamonds, kundan and other precious and semi-precious stones.
