After a BJP member threatened to behead the chief minister, a Congress leader has now come forward and issued a similar threat to the BJP member.
Former MLA and Congress leader in Mandya, LR Shivarame Gowda has threatened Shivamogga district secretary SN Channabasappa with the same threat that the latter had issued to the chief minister.
On Monday, Channabasappa had said that he would “play with (Siddaramaiah’s) severed head” if the chief minister “dared to eat beef” in Gopi Circle in Shivamogga.
On Wednesday, speaking at a debate conducted by a news channel, Gowda said “You threatened to play with the (CM’s) severed head, didn’t you? I will play with your severed head.”
BJP Spokesperson S Prakash told The News Minute that local leaders would file a complaint in Shivamogga district against Gowda and submit a video recording of the television show.
