Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s birthday is due on June 22 and his fans have started off the celebrations already. While the expectation on the first look of his upcoming film with director Atlee will be revealed on the special day, there is another special treat in store for the fans! There are reports that 23 original sound tracks from his 2016 release Theri will also be released on that day as an additional treat. Incidentally, Atlee had wielded the megaphone for Theri as well. It is also speculated that the title of Vijay 61 may be revealed on the star’s birthday but this has not been announced officially as yet.
Yet to be titled, the film’s production began early this year with much fanfare. The action thriller, which has Vijay in the lead role, also has Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menon and Samantha Ruth Prabhu playing the female lead. Director – actor SJ Surya will be seen in a crucial role in the film with Vadivelu roped in to handle the comedy department.
The story for this film has been penned by Baahubali fame KV Vijayendra Prasad with the screenplay handled jointly by Atlee, KV Vijayendra Prasad, and S Ramana Girivasan. The Oscar winning music composer AR Rahman is composing the tunes with GK Vishnu cranking the camera and Ruben editing.
It may be mentioned that the Atlee – Vijay project Theri, which released on April 14, 2016 was a blockbuster hit. With the duo teaming up again, there are huge expectations from the film which is touted to be a mass entertainer. On the film’s release, we hear that it will be out later this year and the exact date has not been finalized as yet.
