The News Minute | October 5, 2014 | 04:53 pm IST It’s not just the AIADMK and film actors who have gone on protest after Jayalalithaa’s arrest. Schools and colleges in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu have been directed to remain shut in support of the former Chief Minister after her conviction and arrest. In a circular issued by the management of Anna University-affiliated colleges in Coimbatore, all colleges in the city have been directed to remain closed on 7th October in solidarity after the conviction of Jayalalithaa.  Apart from colleges, even private schools in the city have been asked to remain shut on Tuesday.
