The News Minute | March 12, 2015 | 05.20 pm ISTA Corporation Council meeting in Coimbatore saw some heated arguments and a bitter physical fight between the ruling AIADMK and the DMK as two women councillors exchanged blows on Thursday. It all began when DMK member Meena Loganathan accused the AIDMK-led civic government of taking the public for a ride during the last three years, reported PTI. In turn, some AIADMK members raised a placard which referred to the 2G scam hinting at DMK's involvement while also giving an example of the AIADMK's sway over the public as seen during the Srirangam by-election. However, when Meena wrote on a paper that a sitting chief minister was the first to be convicted for corruption (an obvious reference to Jayalalithaa), AIADMK member Annaamma began beating her which ended up in fistfight between the two. Both sides received the brunt of blows, after which the DMK staged a walkout from the hall, said the report.  TweetFollow @thenewsminute
