A pre-poll survey conducted by Mars Monitoring and Research Systems for the United Democratic Front in Kerala has predicted that the incumbent front will win the elections by a slight margin.
The survey commissioned by Push Integrated Communications, the PR company in charge of UDF’s campaign has predicted that UDF will win 69 to 73 seats whereas the LDF will end up with 65 to 69 seats.
The survey says that the marginal victory will be at the behest of the chief minister’s popularity and 2016 would be the first time in Kerala when an incumbent coalition in government would be voted back to power.
The survey with a total of 7020 respondents claims that the UDF will garner a voteshare of 45 percent and the LDF 43 percent and it completely writes off the BJP saying, “BJP-BJDS would be an insignificant player this election.”
Surprisingly, the survey that says that Oommen Chandy will take UDF towards victory has also found that the solar scam has dented the UDF’s image.
