The News Minute | May 20, 2014 | 01:33 pm IST Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim is said to have gone into hiding since the BJP’s gigantic victory in the Lok Sabha Elections 2014. Ibrahim has shifted base from Karachi to an unknown location near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, which falls under the Taliban. A report in the DNA suggests that Narendra Modi becoming the next Prime Minister has made the hardened criminal, infamous for terrorising people and organisations alike across the world, nervous. That Ibrahim has also got the ISI to provide extra cover to him is also being said. Modi told a Gujarati news channel during one of his poll campaigns that if he were to become Prime Minister, he’d make sure to bring Ibrahim to India from Pakistan. In August 2013, in an editorial in Saamna, Uddhav Thackeray had also mentioned that Modi would extract terrorists including Dawood Ibrahim, Hafiz Saeed and Tiger Memon from Pakistan, if he became PM. Hafiz Saeed, a 26/11 mastermind, however, expressed his displeasure recently on Modi's win. "Modi won the elections on an anti-Pakistan and non-secular agenda. He is a tyrant and now that he has come to power, you cannot carry out the friendship between India and Pakistan any more.", Saeed told a gathering recently. In an interview to Pakistani TV Journalist Moeed Pirzada on channel News Express on May 8, 2014, Hafiz Saeed was asked whether he fears that a Narendra Modi led government will put full force behind bringing the perpetrators of 26/11 attacks to the books. Saeed did not provide any direct reply, but asked Pakistan to delve upon who Modi is and his history.
