Malayalam star Nivin Pauly is keen on expanding his boundaries by signing up films in other languages as well. After carving a niche for himself in Kollywood with movies like Richie and Neram, he is all set for his Bollywood debut. The Malayalam film Moothon, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is getting dubbed in Hindi as well.

In an interview to the IANS, he told, “The language part is always challenging. For a Malayali actor, it won't be that comfortable to do a film in Tamil, Telugu or Hindi. I believe we should push ourselves by crossing boundaries. I think every actor should attempt that in their career. There is one blessed career that God gave us and we shouldn't be sitting in one place and getting comfortable. There is no harm in trying something new.”

Moothon is a bilingual that will be released in Malayalam and Hindi. Moothon is a film about a 14-year-old younger sibling going out in search out his long lost older brother. The title Moothon, which means older sibling, reflects the same.

Nivin Pauly’s period film Kayamkulam Kochunni released on October 11th. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film has been written by Bobby and Sanjay. The cast also includes Mohanlal, Priya Anand, Priyanka Thimmesh, Sunny Wayne and Babu Antony. It may be mentioned here that Mohanlal is seen in an extended cameo in this flick, as Ithikkara Pakki. It is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under his banner Sree Gokulam Films on a budget of Rs 40 crore.

Nivin Pauly also has the Dhyan Sreenivasan directorial Love Action Drama and the Haneef Adeni directorial Mikhael in his kitty. Love Action Drama is supposed to be the remake of the hit film Vadukkunokkiyanthram and Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara will be reprising the roles done by Sreenivasan (Dhyan’s dad) and Parvathy respectively. In Mikhael, Nivin would be seen opposite actor Manjima Mohan with whom he worked in the 2015 film Oru Vadakkan Selfie.
