Actor Nivin Pauly will reportedly be teaming up with cinematographer turned director Rajeev Ravi for a new project which will be set in the backdrop of Cochin harbor and revolves around the people living in that coastal region. The film will begin shooting in mid 2019 after Nivin completes his current set of projects. According to the reports that have been doing the rounds, the movie has been titled as Thuramukham. However, an official confirmation about the same is awaited.

Nivin Pauly’s last release Kayamkulam Kochunni, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, turned out to be a hit and the star recently wrapped up Mikhael, directed by Haneef Adeni. The film is touted to be a family entertainer and will have elements of a thriller as well. Reports are that Nivin Pauly will be playing a doctor in this film. Besides, Nivin, it features Unni Mukundan in an important role as well. According to reports, the shooting has been wrapped up in exactly 84 days, much to the delight of all those involved in the film. Mikhael is expected to come out in the theatres in the month of January 2019. 

Besides this, Nivin also has the Geethu Mohandas directorial Moothon needing his attention. The shooting of this film is currently underway. A bilingual to be released in Malayalam and Hindi, the film also features actors Sobhita Dhulipala, Shashank Arora, Harish Khanna, Alencier Ley Lopez and Dileesh Pothan. The film, which is about a younger sibling going in search of the elder, is being bankrolled by Aanand L Rai, Ajay G Rai and Alan McAlex under the banner Colour Yellow Productions and JAR Pictures.

Rajeev Ravi, who has made three acclaimed movies so far, last directed Kammattipaadam, with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. Actor Manikandan was introduced through this movie, and won state award for best supporting actor. Vinayakan had won the state award for best actor for his performance in the film.
