The shooting of the Nivin Pauly starrer Mikhael took the team less than three months to complete. According to reports, the shooting has been wrapped up in exactly 84 days, much to the delight of all those involved in the making of the film. On the film’s completion, its director Haneef Adeni posted on his social networking page early on Wednesday:

“You have been my blood and sweat for the last 84 days to accomplish my dream #Mikhael #Packup

Nivin Pauly without you this journey would have been pretty difficult for me … You are the soul of our movie Mikhael

Nivin Pauly will be seen playing a doctor in this neo-noir action thriller. Besides, Nivin, the film stars Unni Mukundan in an important role. While the actor revealed that his character is named Marci Jr, nothing else has been revealed yet. Manjima Mohan plays the lead opposite Nivin in Mikhael, which also has JD Chakravarthy, Siddique, Renji Panicker, Ashokan, Shanthi Krishna, Kalabhavan Shajon and KPAC Lalitha playing supporting roles. The film is bankrolled by Joseph Anto under his banner Anto Joseph Film Company.

On the commencement of Mikhael, Nivin had written in July, “Super excited to announce my next project with one of the most stylish filmmaker Haneef Adeni!! Titled Mikhael, the film will be produced by my dearest Anto Joseph! Rolling soon!” (sic)

Haneef Adeni made his directorial debut with the Mammootty starrer The Great Father and had penned the Shaji Padoor directorial Abrahaminte Santhathikal, which also had Mammootty in the lead role.

Nivin’s last release Kayamkulam Kochunni turned out to be a big hit and the star currently has the Geethu Mohandas directorial Moothon needing his attention. The shooting of this film is currently underway.
