Reports from the trade sources say that Vijay Kumar Konda of Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyindhe fame will soon be wielding the megaphone for a rom-com. He has roped in Nithya Menen to play the female lead in it with Raj Tharun as the hero. The film will be produced by KK Radha Mohan under his banner. The shooting of this film is expected to begin next month and the groundwork is currently on. Sources say that Nithya Menen is impressed with the storyline and will soon be signing on the dotted lines.
It may be noted here that the actor recently went on to sign SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film RRR. She apparently will be playing an important cameo in this flick. The shooting of this film began in Hyderabad where one schedule was completed and the other was wrapped up in Gujarat. The next schedule of this magnum opus will start in Pune, we hear. For now, the shooting of RRR has been put on hold as both its lead stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja are recuperating from the injuries sustained on the sets. RRR is being bankrolled by DVV Dhanayya under his banner DVV Entertainments on a budget of Rs 300 crore.
Earlier, there were reports that the Producers’ Association is contemplating a ban on actor Nithya Menen. Sources in the know say that some producers are irked over Nithya Menen not agreeing to new films despite being offered some good roles. She is unapproachable on the sets of the movies she is currently starring in, complained some of the filmmakers. However, there is a clarification from Nithya’s side that she is facing some personal issues due which she is unable to concentrate on films. Now, it looks like the actor is keen on signing up some good offers.
