Nithya Menen and Fahadh Faasil will act together as the lead pair of a romantic entertainer in Malayalam. Revealing this in an interview to the IANS, Nithya said, “I'm doing a Malayalam film, which I will be starting in February or March. It's a beautiful film with Fahadh. I am really looking forward to working with Fahadh because for me, working with good actors is such a pleasure. It will be a beautiful... very unconventional love story.”

No other details about this project, including its director and the rest of the cast and crew, were forthcoming from the actor at this point.

Nithya and Fahadh has earlier worked together in Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days in which she played the role of Natasha. She has not been seen in Malayalam cinema for a while, after last appearing in 100 Days of Love, opposite Dulquer Salmaan.

However now, she has two upcoming Malayalam movies. One of these is Pranaa. Directed by VK Prakash, Pranaa is produced by Suresh Raj, Praveen S Kumar, and Anita Raj. The film has been scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman with PC Sreeram cranking the camera and Oscar-winning sound engineer Resul Pookkutty doing sound design while Louis Banks scores the music. Besides this movie, she also has another film titled Kolambi, directed by TK Rajeev Kumar.

Fahadh’s last release was Varathan which hit the marquee in September this year. His next release in Malayalam would be Njan Prakashan, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. The star also has Trance in the pipeline, which is directed by Anwar Rasheed. The film is scripted by Vadakkan Vincent and has Fahadh Faasil in the lead role with Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod, Sreenath Bhasi and Alphonse Puthren playing supporting characters. Apart from directing and producing the film, Anwar Rasheed is also handling the camera.
